Inspiration

In this students music video they use UV paint on their bodies and dance which is effective as it gives a tribal feel, matching with the song. This could work in our video as we want to do something interesting.

In this students video of 'stay with me' includes fast paced editing which is really effective as it makes the video look professional. There are also a lot of close ups that look professional, this could be because of the many camera angles, they also were unique as they did birds-eye-view angles on dancers, which is not common. The lighting is also done well as they have used light bulbs and back lighting to keep an atmospheric feel, fitting the genre and they used a smoke machine which works with the mise-en-scene. The location is made to look very professional even though it is probably in a drama studio. We aren't sure about our location at the moment but we may do it outside.

In this music video, editing is the main component. The complex and sophisticated editing makes the video look professional. The video being in black and white is a good idea as it gives an atmospheric feel. Also the location works for the video as they use the setting, like the water, to add to their video. We could try something like this but it would be very difficult.
